Enzymlogic has been selected by the SLAS (Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening) Europe 2019 Scientific Programme Committee to give a Podium Presentation highlighting the company’s KINETICfinder® technology at the SLAS Europe 2019 International Conference & Exhibition, 26-28 June 2019, in Barcelona, Spain. The presentation will be featured as part of the Advances in Experimental Drug Discovery Session during the annual meeting.
During the podium presentation, entitled “At the Lightning Speed or at a Snail’s Gallop: Benefits of Kinetic Profiling”, Ana Corrionero, CEO at Enzymlogic, will detail how performing a high-throughput kinetic selectivity profiling of kinase-marketed drugs on Enzymlogic’s KINETICfinder® platform demonstrates that compounds with an identical affinity towards multiple kinases exhibits dramatically different binding kinetics.
She will highlight how kinetic selectivity can still exist even in the absence of binding selectivity and how the implicit relationship between selectivity and therapeutic index makes this fact extremely useful. This study will provide a deeper understanding of how the early evaluation of kinetic parameters can be a powerful tool to improve decision-making in drug discovery.
